Mission Statement

Our mission is to offer New Yorkers an opportunity to have an ongoing conversation on community-police relations, by allowing the public to report incidents between the them and the police. The public can rate the police interaction and help to provide a data base where others can search and see the officer's rating and the incident.

Rate A Cop New York will also compile statistical analysis of reported incidents. We think an open honest dialogue is one of the important ways to address ongoing community-policing issues and make people aware of policing misconduct within the city and ideas on how to prevent them.
